It is with great sadness to announce the passing our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and sister-in-law and elder. Mamie Agnes Catt passed at the Health Science Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Saturday, May 16, 2015 with her family by her side at the age of 71 years. Agnes was born Saturday, May 13, 1944 at Cedar Lake, Manitoba, where she was raised and lived until the relocation to Easterville, Manitoba in 1964. Agnes was united in marriage to Raymond Catt on February 16, 1964. Her and her husband Raymond Catt celebrated 51 years together and just celebrated their Golden Anniversary in 2014 with Community and Family. Agnes was an active member to her community, she completed Department of College and Universities Affairs (2 year program) Community Health Worker on June 26, 1975, and she served for her community for 13 years as a Nurse. Later she enrolled into the Diploma Program with the Indian Affairs Child and Family Services leading her once again to serve 18 years of service for her community as the CFS Worker. She retired after of many years of employment. Agnes was an active Elder for her community and supportive to the Chemawawin School; when she was invited to assist in functions. She will be remembered as a role model for her family and community and the positive energy that came with her. The stories and jokes she told will be missed by many. She loved fishing and hunting and trapping with her husband. She loved making moccasins and mukluks and gloves for her family. Agnes loved her family dearly and spending quality time with her sisters. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She was a singer and her talent passed onto her grandchildren, Gospel, and Country music. She was a powerful believer in prayer.
