Margaret married Leonard Morrison in 1949 and together they had three children; Betty, Tom and Allan. In 1971 she moved to Winnipeg where her husband passed away shortly thereafter. She had always wanted to enter the nursing profession, so she returned to school and received her Practical Nursing Diploma. In 1974 she moved to The Pas and was employed at St. Anthony’s Hospital and St. Paul’s Residence. It was during this time that she met and married Bill Babos in 1975. After a work related injury she became very active with the Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities. She held many different positions on these boards both locally and provincially. She was also active with The Pas Handi-Van. Margaret was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion and helped at their Bingo for many years as well as the Handicap Bingo. In 1999 she married Kurt Rimkus and they moved to Flin Flon in 2002 and in 2009 moved to Assiniboia, Saskatchewan. Margaret had a very positive outlook on life and she always had a smile for everyone. Margaret passed away with her family by her side, Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Pasquia Hospital, Regina, Saskatchewan, age 78 years, after a short courageous battle with cancer.
