Melanie Annabelle Marcellais Young was born Friday, June 2, 1939 in The Pas, Manitoba to Ambrosse Marcellais and Stella Young. Melanie received her education in The Pas. Throughout her life Melanie lived in Herb Lake, The Pas and Wanless. Melanie worked as a housekeeper for many years and also worked in the local cafes. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, berry picking and beadwork. Melanie passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Sturgeon Landing, Saskatchewan. Melanie is survived by brothers Joseph Marcellais Young, Leo Marcellais Young; sisters Josephine Lavallee, Charlotte McGinnis; son Joseph Micheal Young; and numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Melanie was predeceased by her father Ambrose Marcellais; mother Stella Young; brothers Walter Marcellais, Louis Marcellais; sisters Lorna Marcellais, Liz Hoskins; uncles Joe Marcellais, Peter Marcellais, John Marcellais, Henry Thomas, Robert Thomas; aunts Lizette Constant (Marcellais), Annabell Dorion (Marcellais), Florence Bignell (Thomas), Sophia Lathlin (Thomas), Eleanor McKay (Thomas) and many relatives, too numerous to mention.
