Miroslaw Litwicky

Morris was born Friday, July 13, 1945 in Dauphin, Manitoba to Katrina and Michael Litwicky. In 1957, the family moved from Ethelbert, Manitoba to Cranberry Portage. Upon completing school, Morris worked for a couple of service stations then for the next 10 years he worked for the B/A Bulk Plant. When that closed, he was employed by the Frontier School Division until retirement. Morris enjoyed gardening and woodworking. Morris passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the Flin Flon General Hospital, Flin Flon, Manitoba, at the age of 66 years. Morris is survived by his sister Alice (George); nephews Darryl (Angie), David; niece Kathy (Geordie); and many cousins, grand nieces and nephews. Morris was predeceased by his mother Katrina; father Michael; niece Brenda Leptick; brother-in-law Ray Tye. In keeping with Morris’ wishes, cremation took place and to celebrate Morris’ life, a mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, December 10, 2011, 2:00 pm, at the Frontier Collegiate Auditorium, Cranberry Portage, Manitoba, with Rev. Paul Bringleson presiding. Music ministry was provided by Pat Petryk and Jean Murnick. Scripture readings were proclaimed by Kirk Leptick and Angie Tye. Memories of Morris were shared by Gerard Jennissen. Memorial book attendees were Ashley Tye and Jeremy Head. Honorary pallbearers were Morris’ family, all his friends and everyone who know him. Following the service, family and friends gathered at the Cranberry Portage Elementary School for a reception. If friends so desire, donations to the Flin Flon/Creighton and Area SPCA, Box 863, Flin Flon, Manitoba R8A 1N6 would be appreciated by Morris’ family and can also be made at Northern Rainbow’s End, Flin Flon, Manitoba. Morris’ family would like to thank Dr. Thwala, the nurses and staff on the 3rd floor at the Flin Flon General Hospital, Cranberry Portage E.M.S. for their care. Thank you to everyone who helped with the set up and clean up in both gymnasiums. Thank you to Father Paul Bringleson, scripture readers Kirk Leptick and Angie Tye, Pat Petryk and Jean Murnick for the music and Ashley Tye and Jeremy Head for looking after the memorial register. Thank you to everyone for the food donations and cards, it was all greatly appreciated and thank you to anyone we may have missed, it was unintentional.
