It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Pat Bristow, Monday, December 21, 2009 at St. Anthony’s General Hospital in The Pas, Manitoba at the tender age of 60 years.
Pat was born Sunday, January 2, 1949 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan to Peter and Nellie Iwasuik. As a child Pat moved from Yorkton to Calgary, Alberta and finally to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It was in Saskatoon, Mom met the love of her life, Brian, and on August 17, 1968 they were married. On December 21, 1971 she gave birth to the first of two children, her son Mark and on September 19, 1974 she gave birth to her daughter Bonnie.
It was now the spring of 1975 and the young family headed for The Pas, Manitoba where Pat lived until her passing on December 21, 2009. It was here in The Pas that Pat spent her time as a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mom had many interests such as working on puzzles and crocheting various items whether they were doilies or baby toques. Pat was a very giving person with her time as she was a member of the Royal Purple, Legion Ladies Auxiliary and The Pas Health Complex Ladies Auxiliary. It was through these organizations that Pat was well known in the community by her time spent selling tickets and other fundraising events.
Pat’s life will lovingly be remembered by her husband Brian; son Mark; daughter Bonnie (Brad) Williams of Brooks, AB; parents Peter and Nellie Iwasuik of Saskatoon, SK; brother Dwayne (Brenda) Iwasuik of Saskatoon, SK; sister Cheryl Maher of Saskatoon, SK; grandchildren Brendan Bristow, Torri, Brodey and Kolby Williams of Brooks, AB; mother-in-law Shirley Bristow of Saskatoon, SK; brother-in-law Gary (Christine) Bristow of Ulukhaktok, NWT; brother-in-law Chris (Shannon) Bristow of Saskatoon, SK; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, close friends and other people whose life Pat touched.
