Percy was born Sunday, January 20, 1952 in Moose Lake, Manitoba. He lived most of his life in Moose Lake. Percy was united in marriage to Maria Jane Buck, June 12, 1974. They were happily married for 36 years, together they were blessed with 3 sons, Peter, Delbert and Glen. Percy and Maria adopted their granddaughter Angel and brought her up as their own. Percy enjoyed spending time outdoors, he enjoyed trapping, berry picking with granddaughter Angel. He enjoyed fishing and he worked with his friend Douglas Lambert for 8 years. Percy worked for the Moose Lake Loggers. He also worked for the Moose Lake RCMP as a guard for many years and had to retire due to illness. Percy’s past hobbies included playing guitar for his wife and granddaughter while they sang Gospel Hymns. He enjoyed playing bingo and driving his bike around the community. Percy loved visiting friends and family, spending time with grandchildren, chapans, nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law. Percy enjoyed talking on the phone with his sister Flora Jean and his niece Margaret Patchenose. Both Percy and Maria also had a license fostering children from the Cree Nation Child and Family Caring Agency. Their foster children Kenstien, Sheldon, Chevy and Chicago. Percy passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba with his wife by his side, Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at the age of 58 years. Percy is survived by his wife Maria; sons Peter, Delbert, Glen; grandchildren Angel and Peter Greyson Burge; special little friends Jamie Blacksmith, William and Tyress Ettawakapow, Klyde Tobacco, Kenstien Bendonie and Aaron Lambert. Percy is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Abel (Marjorie), Zaccheus (Verna), Samuel (Elizabeth), Jonas (Carol), Morris, Flora Jean (Ray), Ila (Norman), Irma (Joseph), Flora (Lester); mothers-in law Amelia Buck, Flora Campeau, Evelyn Pronteau, Betsy Buck; aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews too numerous to mention; godchildren Roland Buck Sr., Gail Easter, Tyrone Ettawakapow, Breanne Ettawakapow; as well as other relatives from The Pas, Churchill and York Landing too numerous to mention. Percy was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Rachel Grey; brother Roderick Grey Sr.; grandparents John Martin Sr. and Flora Maritn; uncles Abel Martin Sr., Archie Martin; auntie Isabelle Wilson; father-in-law John Peter Buck.
