Raef Morrish THE PAS, Manitoba Obituary

Raef Morrish

In loving memory of our baby boy, Raef Thomas Morrish, born Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 6:07 pm at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, MB. Raef was baptized December 1, 2013 by Archbishop Murray Chatlain and Father Jack Herklotz at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Our beautiful baby boy Raef filled our life with love, laughter, and joy in the short time we had him in our lives. You were a little boy with such a wonderful big personality that brightened our every day. With intellect and ability beyond your years, along with a wonderful smile and sense of humor, you charmed all those you met. You were so playful and loving, showering us with hugs and kisses without reserve. You had the ability to make anyone you met feel like they had a special place in your heart. You were so enthused about life, and couldn’t wait for the next adventure with your big sister Sophia. She will always miss her playmate, partner in crime, and best friend. Having the honor to be your parents has been one of the greatest blessings in our life. Raef was called home to Jesus on the morning of Monday, February 16, 2015. Our little angel will be dearly missed by all those who were privileged to have known him. Left to cherish Raef’s memory are his mommy Gaylynn Morrish (Kennedy) and daddy Patrick Morrish, and big sister Sophia; his grandparents Wayne and Geraldine Kennedy, Bruce and Barbara Morrish; Great grandparents Gary Morrish, Amanda and Tom Burke-Gaffney; aunts and uncles, Matthew Morrish (Brianne Dech); April and Darren Baker and their children Kellie, Mackenzie, Matthew, Alexandra, Olivia; Janine and Scott Bromley and their children Thomas, Isaac, Bronwyn; Merrill and Joel LeSann and their children Owen, Justin, Nathan, Eli, Maeve; Bradley Kennedy, Neil Kennedy, (Tafadwa Gomre), Ryan Kennedy and many loving relatives and friends. Mass of Christian burial to celebrate the life of Raef, was held Monday, February 23, 2015 at 1:00 pm, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, The Pas, Manitoba, with Father Jack Herklotz presiding. Music Ministry was provided by Rochelle Rydberg. Altar servers were Justin and Owen LeSann and Mackenzie Baker. Scripture readings were proclaimed by Merrill LeSann and Cole Williams. Eulogy was delivered by Patrick and Gaylynn Morrish. A private family interment followed at Lakeside Cemetery, The Pas, Manitoba. Pallbearers were Grandfathers Bruce Morrish, Wayne Kennedy, Great, Grandfathers Gary Morrish and Tom Burke-Gaffney. A reception for family and friends was held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall. If friends so desire, donations to The Pas Minor Hockey Association, Box 794, The Pas, Manitoba, R9A 1K8, would be appreciated by Raef’s family. “We would like to thank everyone for all your love and support through this difficult time.”
