Robert started school in Cold Lake until he became a young adult then transferred to Frontier Collegiate in Cranberry Portage, MB where he went to Grade 12. Robert didn't finish nor graduate because he had the opportunity to work for CN, so he took it. Robert started in 1978 for CN before he transferred to Hudson Bay Railways in 1997. Robert met his partner Phyllis Swetlikoff who he spent his last 20 years of life with. Robert and Phyllis resided in Kamsack, SK. If anyone knew Robert "Uncle Bob" he was famous for his jokes, especially when he can put a smile on your face. He had a great sense of humor which everyone loved about him. Robert was a dedicated Montreal Canadian and Saskatchewan Rough Rider fan. If he wasn't working he was sitting in front of the TV watching a game. Robert was a very dedicated, loving, and caring father and grandpa to his children and grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally. They always came first in his life. Every year at Christmas time, Robert would drive to Fisher River to spent time with his family. Robert was a very proud grandpa to 7 beautiful grandchildren.
