Robert Allan THE PAS, Manitoba Obituary

Robert Allan

Robert F. Allan was born August 13, 1919 and passed away October 28, 2016. Resident of St. Paul’s Personal Care Home since March 2005. Robert was born in Cantuar, Saskatchewan, where he was raised on a farm and continued on the family farm till his mid- thirties. In 1955, Robert, also known as Bob, married Grace Gullacher in Regina, Sask. They then spent almost a year in Medicine Hat, Alberta. In 1956 they moved to Pasadena, California; later moving to National City, California and then on to Chula Vista, California. Their move to California came about due to Bob’s intense dislike of the winters in Canada. All his years he enjoyed horticulture and made his living at it; but, it was living for the Lord, which gave him his purpose in life. Due to illness, Bob returned to Canada to live by his daughter in Manitoba in 2003. Bob and Grace had two children: James Allan, of Washington and Sharon Morton (Jim), of British Columbia, previously of The Pas, MB. Six grandchildren: Jessica, Ashley, Zachary, Burgundy, Iain, Danielle and two great grandchildren, Jackson and Kayla. He has one sister, Joyce Ross (Ivan) of Alberta and many nieces, nephews. Bob was predeceased by his wife Grace, father John, his mother Faye, his brother Glenn, a grandson Bradley and a daughter-in-law Kathryn. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held in Cantuar, Saskatchewan on November 4, 2016. Burial will be at an undetermined future date. Donations may be made to: www.alzheimer.ca
