Robert Earl Edward Everson “Bob”, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 81 years. Bob was born Sunday, October 11, 1931 in The Pas, Manitoba. His earlier years involved working as a caterpillar operator. This was a job he had done for many years throughout Manitoba and Western Canada. The skill of being a cat operator was learned while he was still a young boy. Prospecting all through Western Canada interested Bob immensely. Panning for gold was the one thing that really peaked his interest. Many times people that knew him would pick his brain on what and where to search for gold and other minerals. His health for the last 15 years or so greatly disrupted his ability to pursue his hobby, especially when time during retirement would have been opportunistic. Bob took great comfort in his belief in God and was a member of the Baptist Church. Bible study was extremely important to him. For the last several years studying the bible was his life. Family and friends were always appreciated by Bob. He always had the time for coffee and a visit for everyone. Bob is survived by his siblings Mildred Gies (Steve and Maxine), Sherman Everson, Carol (Don) Swischook (Don and Pam, Robert and Rhonda, Ron and Sharon, Dwayne), Vernon Everson (Shellene and David, Crystal, Cory); and many great nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his father Carl Everson; mother Ana Everson; brother Floyd Everson; nephew Tyler Everson.
