Rosalie was born on Thursday, July 10, 1930 at Grand Rapids, MB, to Henry and Margaret (Arkinson) Pronteau and passed away at St. Paul’s Personal Care Home, Sunday, November 19, 2017. Rose is survived by her son Lorne Brown (Rebekah); grandchildren Christine, Angela (Micha Powlison), Timothy, Carolyn, Rachel (Paul Elwood), Russell (Hayley); eight great grandchildren; her son Alvin Brown; and one sister, Beulah Pranteau. She is survived by numerous relatives and friends. Rose was predeceased by an infant son Bruce; her husband of 37 years, Bob Schoch; siblings John Pronteau, Rebecca McLaughlin, Edith Cartwright, Allen Pronteau; and infant great-grandson Netanel Powlison. Rose worked at The Pas Health Complex from 1967 – 1988. She enjoyed time at the cabin, fishing and cooking up a delicious moose roast. Rose became the “Jigging Queen” of the Trapper’s Festival, enjoyed many trips with friends, loved making connections with people and was well loved by many. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul’s Residence Equity Fund, c/o Activities, Box 240, The Pas, Manitoba, R9A 1K4, or The Christ Church Anglican Memorial Fund, Box 125, The Pas, Manitoba R9A 1K3, would be appreciated by Rose’s family.
