Rusty James Reber Obituary

Rusty was born in Flin Flon on Thursday November 5th, 1964 to Joseph and Rose Reber.
He grew up in Cranberry Portage, attending Cranberry Portage Elementary. On one occasion during kindergarten he took a beer to school. When asked “why” he said “in case I get thirsty”.
He graduated Grade 12 at FCI in 1983. During his high school years he met Sandra Halcrow from Cross Lake. Together they had a daughter Candace.
Rusty worked at many jobs, mostly as a construction/labourer. Worked at all the Hydro Dams on the Nelson River System. That’s where he got his nickname “Kumaguy”. Drillers helper all over the Yukon and Territories. And various other jobs around Mb/Sask.
In his young teen years, one of his favourites was playing cards. There was always a poker game going on.
As he got older he was a great cook. We will really miss those family suppers. Like, who is going to cook now? When he was cooking you couldn't even go into the kitchen and stir anything, he would kick you out!
He was the life of the party! Always had funny stories and it was funny just watching him tell the story.
He moved to Flin Flon, lived with one of his friends Damase & Rose for a few years then moved in with Hopper for a few years. Meet Angie and they got their own place.
Rusty passed away at home at the age of 50 on Thursday October 29th 2015.
Rusty is survived by his daughter Candace Halcrow (Aaron) and 8 grandchildren. His common law partner Angie Laronde. His mother Rose Reber. Sisters, Chilly, Rosemary (Mika). Brother Pat (Annette)
Nieces Tessa (Dale) Charla, Katrina (Troy)
Nephews Preston (Chasity) Sheldon Cory (Kayla) and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Rusty was predeceased by Sister Donna Lynn Reber and his Father Joseph Patrick Reber.
