Sandra Marie Young THE PAS, Manitoba Obituary

Sandra Marie Young

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden loss of our loved one Sandy, Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at her residence at Traders Lake, Moose Lake, Manitoba, at the age of 51 years. Sandy was born at The Pas, Manitoba, Tuesday, April 7, 1964 to Samuel and Florence Ettawakapow. Sandy and Jerry were untied in marriage August 20, 2004. Sandy took pride in her grandchildren. She loved each and everyone of them, especially the twins, Zane and Zack. She enjoyed cooking for her family on special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Sandy also enjoyed camping at North Arm Camp and Shoal Lake Camp. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Texas Hold’em, Crib and hanging out with family and friends. Sandy was a good woman to people. She was respectful, outgoing and made a lot of jokes. She mostly loved to sing to her granddaughter Tattia and to her baby girl Denise. Those two were her pride and joy. She loved to teach them cooking, making bannock and baking. She told a lot of stories about her past and the good times she had. Sandy was mostly proud of her granddaughter Tattia that she knew how to bake when she was 7 years old. She laughed at Jerry and Tattia every time they would fight over her hugs and kisses. Sandy really liked the phone call from her son-in-law John Metro, that he had killed a moose and asked her to come over and cut it up for him and he would always give her the bigger pieces. She grew up with her close cousin Rhonda Clarke. They did everything together; they were like Bonnie and Clyde. They never left each other’s side. They always kept in contact. Sandy and Olive aka “Pawchick” were best friends. They never let each other down. They would always visit each other, and they always had each others back. They teased, laughed and cried together but mostly made jokes to each other. She really loved her niece, Lovelynn and she called her “noo-koom”.
