Sheldon Beardy THE PAS, Manitoba Obituary

Sheldon Beardy

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and most of all friend. Sheldon passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Moose Lake, near Mud Lake, while doing what he loved—hunting with his friends, accompanying him until the last days of his life. Sheldon was born Tuesday, August 14, 1984 in The Pas, Manitoba to William and Clara Beardy. He lived most of his life in Moose Lake and Easterville, Manitoba. He was the kind of man who loved and enjoyed the outdoors with family and friends surrounding him while laughing and joking around. He was also very active, friendly, outgoing and respectable and would always lend a helping hand to who ever needed it. Sheldon loved driving with his best friend Solomon James McNabb and had many friends and relatives whom he loved very much from Easterville, Moose Lake and Shoal River. There are so many wonderful things to say about Chalis, all the lives he has touched and all the beautiful memories that he has left behind. He liked teasing his nieces and nephews and spending time with them. Chalis was a good hearted person that will never be forgotten. Sheldon would never say no to anyone who would ask him something or do stuff for somebody. He loved visiting his auntie Rita Young whom he loved very much. He was a quiet, caring and gentle person. Sheldon’s days are filled with hard work. He worked as a carpenter, fisherman and hunter, labourer, mechanic, firefighter and was active in other trades. He attended Frontier Collegiate Institute in Cranberry Portage. He met many friends through these jobs and he would never forget any of them and would keep in touch. Through the loss of our dad, Sheldon became a changed man. He would always talk about him, he missed him deeply and loved his dad so much. They will be together forever. Sheldon will be greatly missed by his mom, Clara Beardy; brothers John (Bonnie) Beardy, Delbert (Jolene) Beardy, William Jr. Beardy; sisters Kim Dueck, Serena (Delbert) Campbell, Hilda (Columbus) Nasikapow, Zerlinda (Clifford) Dorion, Elisa (Fabian) Sinclair; aunties Miriam Patchinose, Theresa (Dean) Campbell; godmother Virginia Grey; many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins too numerous to mention. Sheldon was predeceased by his father William Sr. Beardy; brother James Richard Beardy; grandparents Stanley and Lenore Patchinose, Denzel Bourassa, Delroy Bourassa, Paul Bourassa, John and Theresa Beardy; great grandmother Gracie Kematch; uncles Francis Beardy; auntie Beatrice Beardy, Maria Lachose; cousins Walter Sinclair, Robert Beardy, Gail Alisha Beardy, Frank and Melissa Beardy; niece Erica Campbell; nephew Fleury Beardy. Wake services were held Wednesday, May 8, 2013 and Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Moose Lake Community Hall, Moose Lake, Manitoba. The funeral service was held Friday, May 10, 2013, 2:00 pm, at the Moose Lake Community Hall, Moose Lake, Manitoba, with Rev. Clara Lambert and Rev. Donald McNabb presiding.
