Skye McAuley

Skye was born Tuesday, May 16, 1995 in Flin Flon, Manitoba and sadly on Saturday, May 1, 2010, Skye passed away at the tender age of 14. She will be terribly missed by her mother Elaine McAuley, family and many friends and the whole community of Snow Lake, Manitoba. Skye was adored by many for her humor, helping others, babysitting and waitressing skills, her charismatic zest for fun with friends and her beautiful smile. Skye was predeceased by her cousin Luke Phillips. Skye leaves to mourn her passing, her mother Elaine McAuley; Papa Murray and Grandma Norma McAuley; auntie Valerie McAuley and uncle Lee Thomas, uncle Glen and Cara McAuley, auntie Lynn McAuley Burdett; cousins James Burdett, Kaylee Phillips, Shaylyn, Brandon and Jessica McAuley; extended family Ken Galbraith, who was like a father to Skye; uncle Blake Burdett, “The Gary”, godparents Rosa Maria and Mark Santos (Melissa) and godbrother Jordie Dawson. Baby Doll walks hand in hand with her cousin Luke in heaven now. The funeral service for Skye was held Friday, May 7, 2010 at 11:30 am at the Lawrie Marsh Community Hall, Snow Lake, Manitoba, with Rev. Cally Fernando and Mr. Clarence Fisher presiding. Memories of the heart were shared by Rod Korchinski and Jill Assoignon. A tribute song was sung by Caroline Liar and a poem by Jason Blake was read by Uncle Blake Burdette.
