He was born in Grand Rapids, Friday, April 26, 1935. He lived there most of his life. Solomon worked all his life. He spent his youth fishing and trapping with his dad and his brothers. He worked many years for Manitoba Hydro as a lineman, stringing the transmission lines from here to the north. He spent his adult life fishing on Lake Winnipeg, which he enjoyed. Later on, he owned and operated Cook’s Campground at Cross Lake. When he finally started to slow down, he returned to trapping in the wilderness around Grand Rapids, in which he took great pleasure. Solomon passed away, Friday, May 17, 2013 at his home in Grand Rapids, Manitoba, at the age of 78 years. Solomon’s family and friends and all other people he came into contact with, will miss him.
