Stanley Stevenson Obituary

Wayne was born Monday, July 31st, 1961 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, MB where he grew up and lived his entire life. He received his grade 12 diploma graduating in 2007. He was very proud to receive a Province of Manitoba Security Guard License in 2012. Wayne worked at various jobs through his life. Some being with Highways, Forestry, Tolko, Home Hardware, The Bus Depot and as of late in security where he proudly received his certificate. Wayne’s family was near and dear to his heart. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and last but not least a loving, proud and devoted dad to his daughter Vivian. Our Wayne was a very “special” person. Loving, caring, soft spoken, generous and most of all had the biggest heart. He always put others before himself and never once asked anything in return. He was always willing and ready to help when needed. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends whether it be a special occasion or just a coffee, he always showed up with a smile. Wayne faced many challenges along the way but never once complained. He lived his life to the fullest, had greats wits, loved to joke and always had a smile on his face. Wayne passed away peacefully Saturday, December 14th, 2013 at Swan Valley hospital, Swan River, MB at the age of 52 years. He is survived by his beloved daughter Vivian, his brothers Norman (Shawna) and their children Les (Ashlyn), Lori (Jonah) and great niece Alicia; Gerry (Ruth) and their children Bernel, Janel (Barry) and Nathan (Jana); Kenny (Carmelle) and their daughter Anna. Aunties, Lucille (Dave), Gwen (Terry), Norma (Ron); Uncles Kenny, Billy (Charlotte), Allan (Hazel), many cousins, extended family and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Stan and Louise, his grandparents Nettie and Babe, Mary and Norman, uncle Jack, aunt Stella and cousin Ronald. We. his family, were very honored to be a part of his life and cherish the time we had with him. We will miss him dearly. Until we meet again, rest in peace “Jake” as his brothers called him. We love you and know you are watching over us and you will live in our hearts forever.
