Tammy Niemi THE PAS, Manitoba Obituary

Tammy Niemi

It is with our deepest regret to announce the passing of our mom, daughter, sister, auntie, great-auntie, cousin, and friend, TAMMY LEIGH NIEMI (TURK) on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. She was born in Fort William, Ontario, where she lived until moving to The Pas, MB 2006 until her untimely death. She was youngest of 9 children, to Chester and Joyce Turk. Growing up with 4 brothers and 3 sisters, she was the spoiled one until her nieces and nephews starting coming around, which she was always more of a "Big Sis" to each one of them. Growing up the youngest was never an issue for Tam, as she would jump in feet first and head held high above, failing was never an option for her. As she learned new things, she was proud to share her successes with everyone. Aside from her girls, Samantha and Chloe, Tammy's greatest joys in life were the gift to gab as well as nature, camping, walking with her furry bff, Lizzie; visiting with family was one of the greatest by far. Coming home for visits was something Tammy and the girls looked forward to every year. Chilling on the deck with her nieces and nephews having a few beverages, to dinners at her brothers homes. Tammy was predeceased by her father Chester, brother Philip, brother-in-law Tony, her grandparents Harry and Marjorie Jones and Bruce and Maude Turk, and her beloved furry bff Lizzie. Tammy is survived by her 2 amazing and beautiful daughters Samantha Jane and Chloe Jean Niemi, their dad Ken. Her mother Joyce, her brothers Glenn (Ricki), Randy (Janet), Wade, Doug, sisters Donna (Gerry), Lois, Kathy (Tony), Nieces and Nephews, Malissa (Rich) Irvine, Malinda (Pete) Ogilivie, Malinea Harmer, Jennifer Alton (Mike), Kevin Alton (Laura-Leigh), Katie Stevens (Trevor), Shawn, Jesse (Kristi), Josh, Jeremy, & Eric and numerous great-nieces and nephews as well as other family members. As per Tammy's wishes, there will be no funeral. There will be a celebration held at a later date. Details to follow in a few weeks pending arrangements. Should friends and family desire, donations made to Thunder Bay Human Society.
