Obituary for Carlyle Murray

H.T. Carlyle Murray, 87, of Maxville Manor, Maxville, ON, and formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully at Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Alexandria, ON, on Saturday July 3, 2010. Born in Scotch Settlement, he was the son of the late Horace T. and Mabel (MacGregor) Murray. Carl was a retired Eastern Airlines (Montreal) Aircraft maintenance inspector and was a Veteran of WWII, having served overseas with the R.C.A.F. 6th Bombardier Group (1943-1945). Carl will be sadly missed by his wife of over 58 years, Gilberte (Girouard) Carlyle, Maxville, ON; daughters, Lynda Harney (Michael), Beaconsfield, PQ, Sylvia Maheu (Maurice), Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot, Québec, Carolyn Murray, Dorval, PQ; three grandchildren; sister, Edith Woodman, Salisbury; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, William. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Thursday, 7 to 9 pm. Moncton Legion Branch #6 Memorial Service, Thursday at 6:45 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, July 9, 2010, 1:30 pm, Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery. In Carl's memory, donations to a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
