Obituary for Earl Murray

MURRAY, EARL I. - 1933 - 2011 - Earl I. Murray, age 77, of MacDougall Settlement, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Born in MacDougall Settlement, he was the son of the late John A. and Mayme (West) Murray. Earl was a lifelong, 4th generation and well respected Dairy Farmer of ELMMUR HOLSTEINS. He was a member and Elder of St. David's United Church. Earl was Past Master of Keith Lodge #23 F&AM Moncton and Zetland Lodge #24 F&AM Shediac. Past District Deputy Grand Master, District #2 of the Grand Lodge of NB. Moncton Lodge of Perfection; Britton Chapter Rose Croix; NB Sovereign Consistency; Moncton Shrine Club; Luxor Shrine; Member of the Royal Order of Scotland. Past Patron of Zetland Chapter #26 O.E.S Shediac. He is survived by his wife Linda Murray; daughters Nancy Murray (Garth Mallory) of MacDougall Settlement and Heather Murray (Blair MacPherson) of Vernon, ON; grandchildren Logan, Rachel, Spencer Mallory all of MacDougall Settlement; sisters Norma Hayes and Eleanor Sewell (Darrell) all of Peterborough, ON; brother Don Murray (Lorraine) of Brampton, ON; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Lloyd and sister Joan. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton on Saturday, July 2, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00pm. A Masonic service will be held from Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 6:30pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 2:00pm. with Rev. Claudia Keller officiating, assisted by Rev. Douglas MacEachern. Interment will be in Scotch Settlement Cemetery. Donations in Earl's memory made to Shriners Transportation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
