Francis Belliveau

Obituary for Francis Belliveau

1955 - 2010 - It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected tragic death of a much-loved man on Friday, July 30, 2010. Frank was the first born of Camille and the late Ella (Cormier) Belliveau. Frank will be greatly missed by his daughter Nathalie Gauvin of Moncton, his three sisters, Fleurette Belliveau (Henry Doyle), Janice Belliveau (Guy McGraw) and Jacqueline Belliveau (Adelard Léger) and his brother Charles (Yvonne) all of Shediac, his only nephew Jessy, three nieces, Sheila Babineau (André), Annie (Maxime Babin) and Katelin. He also leaves to mourn many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Ella (Cormier) (2005) and his brother Denis (1989). Frank was a very loving and protective Big Brother to his siblings and a very generous and loyal friend who was always ready to lend a helping hand. Without a doubt, his absence in our everyday lives will be most heartfully felt by Fleurette, his sister with whom he shared a special bond. Frank will be remembered as a compassionate man who loved life, for his deep sense of fairness and justice and his commitment to strong family values. He had a wide circle of life-long friends whom he treasured and enjoyed entertaining. He had the knack to make you feel welcomed in his home. He enjoyed a good game of chess, cribbage and never turned down a chance to play "200" cards. He also enjoyed playing guitar with his buddies and enjoyed cooking for them. Another passtime was creating CD's and DVD's as a gift for everyone. He was an avid Ham Radio Operator and could often be seen riding his bicycle in the trails with his dog Kimo. Even though Frank studied Business Administration at the Université de Moncton, he much preferred to work side by side with his grandfather, father, his two brothers, two sisters, cousins and uncles in the family business C & U Belliveau Concrete Products Ltd. and did so for over 40 years. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure at 10:20 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
