Obituary for Kay Rattray

1920-2010 - Kay C. Rattray formerly of Sunny Brae, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, June 6th, 2010. Born in Moncton, April 13th, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Denis and Philonese (Cormier) Leger. Kay retired from The T. Eaton Co. Moncton following many years of service. She was member of Humphrey Memorial United Church, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her grandchildren; Debbie Richard (Lenny) of Ste. Marie de Kent, Kelly Martin (Darrell) of Elgin, Stephen Melanson (Kelly Jo), Shawn Melanson, son-in-law Gerald Melanson (Lauretta) all of Moncton, seven great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard in 1999, her daughter Shirley Melanson in1974, brothers; Clovis, Clarence, Charles, Hugh and Edgar, and a sister Evelyn. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation prior to the memorial service to be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 10th, 2010, in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home. A reception will follow the service in the Garden View Room of the funeral home. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Kay may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
