Obituary for Leonard Saulnier

SAULNIER, LEONARD P. - 1924 - 2012 - Leonard Paul Saulnier of Scoudouc, and formerly of Lewisville, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Thursday, July 26th, 2012, with his family by his side. Born in Moncton on June 26th, 1924, he was the son of the late Edgar and Eva (Boudreau) Saulnier. Leonard was a Veteran of World War II and continued to serve his country until 1974. He is survived by one son, Paul Saulnier (Ruth) of Moncton; two daughters, Paula Saulnier of Shediac and Janet Hickey (late Jim) of Scoudouc; five grandchildren, Chantel (Kevin), Jimmy (Amanda), Jason (Stephanie), Jennifer (Jesse) and Justin; two great grandchildren, Jaime Lynn and Jayden; four sisters, Jenny, Dot, Margaret and Lorraine; two brothers, Edgar and Eddie; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Madeline Hazel, daughter Mavis Beth, and brother Al. In keeping with Leonard's wishes, there will be no visiting hours. The funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 1st, 2012, at 1:00pm, Rev. Brock Symonds officiating, followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Field of Honour. Remembrances in Leonard's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
