BLACK, LOIS - 1941- 2012 - Lois Ann (McConnell) Black of Riverview passed away unexpectedly on August 2nd at The Saint. John Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Norval E. McConnell and Zenobia (Keswick) Boisclair. Lois began her career at NB Tel after graduating from Oulton's Business college. Following her marriage to Bob, she transferred to Halifax and worked for MT&T. After the birth of her children, Lois chose to become a stay-at-home mother and completely devote herself to raising her family in Riverview. Lois will be sadly missed by her two children, Robert (Erin) of Quispamsis; Kimberley of Moncton; and her five grandchildren whom she adored, Benjamin, Gabriella, Molly, Anne and Tessa. She also leaves to mourn her mother, Zenobia Boisclair, Ashland, MA, her brother David (Sandy), Ashland, MA, stepmother, Alcha McConnell, stepbrother, Norval K. McConnell (Nancy Tingley) and stepsister Kathy Paunins (Tim). Besides her father she was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Robert R. Black, on June 25, 2012. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview, (869-2007) on Monday, August 6th from 6 to 8 PM. A celebration of Lois' life will be held on Tuesday, August 7th, at 1PM from Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Berube and Yvette Swan officiating. The interment will take place at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Salisbury Rd, Moncton. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital, SPCA of Moncton or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
