Obituary for Philip Ouellette

Philip Ouellette, 73 of Petit Cap passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Saturday, July 31, 2010 with his family at his side. Born in Petit Cap, October 19, 1936, he was the son of the late Odias and Irène (Doiron) Ouellette. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Camilla (Doiron), one daughter Ginette Landry (Pierre) of Grand Barachois, two sons, Marcel (Annette) and Roland (Ginette) both of Petit Cap and his four grandchildren who he loved to spoil, Mark (Kendy), Serge (Nadine), Sophie (Shawn) and Remi. He is also survived by four brothers, Valerie (Léola) and Normand (Marie) both of Cap Pelé, Léo (Desanges) of Beresford and Odias (Betty) of Ottawa, ON, three sisters: Léona Léger (late Alban) of Cap Pelé, Sr. Bernadette Ouellette, ndsc of Moncton and Alida Gauvin (Gilles) of Québec, and by many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by a brother Eric, a sister Virginie and by an infant daughter Lise. Philip was a lobster fisherman for several years and also the owner of Philip Ouellette & Sons smokehouses. He was a member of the Shemogue Golden Age Club. Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap Pelé (577-3297) on Monday, from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Timothée Roman Catholic Church, Shemogue on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
