It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Jerry Ivan Ward announces his tragic passing. Jerry passed away suddenly in Fort McMurray, Alberta on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 at the age of 57 years. Jerry is predeceased by his father - James Ward; parents-in-law - Edgar & Bessie Dyer; and brother-in-law - Bruce Dyer. Left to cherish a lifetime of incredible memories is his wife of 31 years and best friend - Evelyn Ward, La Scie, NL; son - Justin Ward (Christa), Fort McMurray, AB; his grand puppies – Tessa , Ellie and Paisley who he adored; his loving mother - Bernice Ward-Green (Donn); his only brother - Junior Ward (Lori), they hunted, fished and raised their families together, all of La Scie, NL; siblings-in-law - Bonnie May (Melvin), Brian Dyer (Marilyn), Minnie Morey (Roger), Lewis Dyer (Pauline) and nieces and nephews - Julian Ward (Dana), Sarah Ward, Bradley May, Terri-Lynn May, Stephen Dyer, Shane Dyer, Kayla Domalain (Michael), Jenny Kelly and Tanya Dyer (Jamie), a special niece and huge part of his life, her two children Jordan and Jena-Lee King who he treated as if they were his own, as well as a large circle of extended family and innumerable friends. Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the Public Health Advisory and associated restrictions, we regret to announce that there will be no Public Visitation or Funeral Service. Captain Kay Barnes conducted the Private Family Funeral Service and interment at The Salvation Army Cemetery, La Scie, NL. We encourage extended family and friends to share condolences, memories and/or photos to Jerry's memorial wall, available on our website. All items will be documented and displayed in our personalized guestbook and presented to the Ward family.
