It is with hearts full of thanksgiving for an incredible life well lived that the family of the late Mae Ruby Pittman announces her Promotion to Glory. Mae slipped peacefully into the presence of the Lord from the Springdale Retirement Centre, Springdale, NL on Thursday, November 8th, 2018 at the age of 82 years.
Mae is predeceased by her husband – Walter Pittman; grandson – Michael Pittman; parents – Stanley and Effie Tizzard; siblings – Wilfred Tizzard, Margaret Tizzard; siblings-in-law – Jack Pittman, Mary Budgell, Rita Critch, Julie White, Lillian Ritche, Ernest Pittman, Clifford Pittman and Joyce Pittman.
Left with fond and loving memories are her children – Marcella Goudie (Keith), Max Pittman (Faye), Maxine Barker (Henry), Major Frank Pittman (Major Rita) and Major Carolyn Hale (Randy); grandchildren – Richard (Trena), Jill (Dallas), Mark (Jennifer), Marsha (Fred), Matthew (Laura), Stephen (Kerri), Stephanie (Keith), Sarah and Allison; great-grandchildren – Taneal, Bryn, Hudson, Hendrix, Ethan, Sydney, Kylan, Braeden, Mamie-lynn, Lily, Avery, Emma, Sophie, Beth, John; siblings – Winnie Payne, Cyril Tizzard (Nora), Wycliffe Tizzard (Marilyn); siblings-in-law – Ivan Pittman (Alma), Minnie Pittman and Vera Pittman.
Majors Arley and Darlene Masters assisted by Major Carolyn Hale conducted the funeral service from The Salvation Army Citadel, Pilley’s Island, NL on Tuesday, November 13th, 2018. Interment followed from The Salvation Army Cemetery, Pilley’s Island, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mae’s memory to The Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, Pilley’s Island, NL.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
