Raphael Payne

It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Raphael Joseph Payne announces his tragic passing. Raphael passed away in Ming’s Bight, NL on Wednesday, September 11th, 2019 at the age of 62 years. Raphael is predeceased by his wife - Julia “Julie” Payne (2016); parents - Jack & Josephine Payne; parents-in-law - Thomas Sr. & Mary Fahey and sister - Gladys Breen and siblings-in-law - Gerard Fahey, Ralph Payne, Joseph Dugas, Francis Skinner, Daniel Haas, James Haas and Donald Skinner. Left with many wonderful memories are his sons - Bradley Payne (Charlene) and Miles Payne (Hilary); common-law wife - Genny Downey; grandchildren - Zachary, Austin, Brayden & Jewel Payne and Kayden & Jaxon Payne; Genny's children - Amanda Downey and Kayla Downey (Shane); Genny's grandchildren - Nikolas Downey, Liam Mulawka and Zachary & Mykiah Wylie siblings - Shirley Dugas, Eileen Skinner, Patsy Haas, Margaret Haas, Julia Skinner (Patrick), Ambrose Payne (Patsy), Peter Payne (Agnes), Maxine Payne, Linda Skinner, Elsie Sullivan (Felix), Clotildia Payne, Doris Bowers (Todd); siblings-in-law - Genevieve Payne, Bernard Fahey (Madeline), Elias Fahey (Dieanna), Anthony Fahey (Laurel), Stefina Payne (Anthony), Elizabeth Fahey, Lillian Fahey (David), Alice Fahey Skinner (Lorne), Thomas Fahey (Thelma), Emily Giles and Francis Breen as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial took place from Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Harbour Round, NL on Monday, September 16th, 2019. Interment will took place from Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Round, NL on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019. As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Raphael’s memory to the Canadian Kidney Foundation.
