Crews, Alfred Kenneth Passed peacefully away, in the presence of his loving family, at his residence in Upper Gullies on June 24, 2015 at the age of 77 years. Alfred, formerly of Pt. Crewe, was a retired member of the RNC. Predeceased by his parents Charlotte and Kenneth Crews, sister Violet Hillier, brothers-in-law Bill Hillier, Edward Bullerwell, Eric Clarke, George Cake, Sylvester Stacey, Norman Pritchett, sisters-in-law Joan Crews, Stella Elford (John). Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life with fond and loving memories his wife Ruth (nee Cake) sons, Gary (Karen) and Douglas (April), precious grandchildren, Nicholas, Abigail, Noah and Joel – lovingly referred to as Poppy’s 3 buddies and his honey, brother Hubert, sisters Edna Cake, Pearl Burton (Donald), Florence Stacey, Laura Clarke, Audrey Bullerwell and Roberta Pritchett, sisters-in-law Joan Vallis (Leonard) and Barbara Rideout (Merv). Also many dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he dearly loved. Cremation has taken place. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Saturday, June 27 from 2 – 5 pm and 7 – 9 pm, Sunday, June 28 from 2 – 5 pm and 7 – 9 pm. Funeral service to take place at St. Peter’s Church, Upper Gullies, at 2 pm Monday, June 29 with Inurnment following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to St. Peter’s Anglican Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
