"Put a Candle in the Window cause I Feel I've Got to Move." - Long as I Can See the Light - CCR Died suddenly Monday August 27, 2018, David James Sparkes (CBS by way of Glovertown). Left behind the greatest wife and Mom - Sheila (nee Cooze), son Jody and wife Stephanie and daughter Tracey and husband Tyler. Grandson Sean (Tracey) and granddaughter Nora (Jody). A wide circle of family including brothers and sisters - Eliza (Hector), Stan (Judy), Millie (Harrold), Stewart (Shirley), Geri, Av (Bernice), Lorne (Caroline) and Ron (Heather). Pre-deased by sister Ellen and baby brother Henry and father Basil and mother Gertie. Also Sheila's brothers and sisters - Cavell (Norm), Fraser (Dale), Kathleen (Barry), Morgan (Millicent), Colleen and Joanne. Also left to mourn a large extended family and friends. In addition to spending time with his family, Dave loved solving Soduku puzzles, indulging his sweet tooth, watching political talk shows and summer baseball on TV. He will be greatly missed, remembered forever and in our hearts always. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Wednesday, August 29 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. & 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the James J. Hickey Memorial Chapel, Kelligrews on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 2 p.m. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Church Road, Foxtrap. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to the Children's Wish Foundation are greatly accepted.
