Smith, Derek Lloyd – 1959 – 2011 Derek Lloyd Smith beloved husband of Gail Smith and son of Winston and June Smith went home to be with the Lord on the evening of Wednesday, August 24th, 2011. He left us as he had lived, with great strength and courage. He leaves to mourn his wife Gail, whom he loved with all his heart, his son Jason who was the pride and joy of his life and his two daughters Crystal Cable (Adam) and Melissa Ryan- Smith (Josh) that he loved as his very own. Deeply mourning his loss are his parents Winston and June Smith, his sisters Linda Drover (Blair) and Barbara Dawe (Earl), father and mother-in-law Clarence and Geraldine Butler, brother-in-law Kevin Butler (Christine), nephews and nieces Russell Dawe (Cara), Christina Anderson (Jonathan), Nathan and David Drover, Michael and Suzanne Butler, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Friday, 10am – 12 noon, 2pm - 4 pm and 7pm – 9pm, Saturday, 10am - 12 noon. Funeral service in All Saint’s Anglican Church, Foxtrap on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 2 pm. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road,Foxtrap.
