Porter, Elaine Louise May (Brown) R.N. Born September 10, 1942 Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 14, 2016. She was a graduate of the Grace Hospital School of Nursing and spent her career at the Sanitorium as well as at St. Clare’s Hospital. Predeceased by her parents William and Elsie (Mercer) Brown of Bay Roberts, brothers Walter, Paul and William Brown, sisters Lorraine Mercer and Ruth Tilley. Leaving to mourn her husband Fred Porter, loving children Sean (Debbi), Roger (Anne) and Deanne Evans (Steve), as well as 5 special grandkids, Danielle, Matthew, Ian, Eric and Claire whom she adored. Also leaving to mourn brother Dennis Brown (Ruth), sister Olive Stokes, sisters –in-law Mary Brown, Marg Brown and Lily Norman, brother-in-law Stan (May) Porter. Also a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Monday from 7 – 9 pm, Tuesday from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm, Wednesday from 10 – 12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 2 pm in the Salvation Army Corp, Long Pond. Inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Band Fund, CBS.
