Butler, Emma (November 5, 1924 – August 9, 2014) It is with broken hearts today that we announce the peaceful passing of Emma Butler of Seal Cove, Conception Bay South surrounded by her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 89 years, a dear mother, grand-mother, great-grand-mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Predeceased by her loving husband Henry in 1977. Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted son Denis (Bonnie), daughter Linda, grand-daughters April Snelgrove (Steve), Kelly Winsor (Spencer), Denyse (Steve), grand-sons Andy Porter and Harry Coates (Karen), great-grandson Henry Winsor (“peeks-a-boo”), Austin and Jarrett Coates. Also loving sisters Mary Crist (Don) Oregon, U.S.A. and Doris Kennedy (Bill), also many relatives and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews, C.B.S. on Monday, August 11, 2014 and Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. Funeral service will take place at Topsail United Church on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 2 pm. Interment in the United Church Cemetery in Long Pond, C.B.S. No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to Canadian Diabetes Assoc. or a charity of one’s choice.
