Florence Joan Holden passed peacefully into the arms of the angels at St. Clare’s Hospital on June 29, 2018 at the age of 83 surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her husband Alexander, parents Catherine and Philip, sister Barbara (Tom) Mercer, brothers Philip (Junior), Douglas (Donna), Charles (Rose), Fredrick, Tasker. Brother in Law Clarence Fagan, Sister in laws Gladys (Stu) Godden and Marjorie NcNeil, also special family friend Onslow (Butch) Savory. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life are her two sons, Brian (Donna) of CBS and Blair (Geri) of Middle Sackville, NS, her daughter Donna Dowden (Rod) of Seal Cove, her grandchildren Alexandra (Jamie), Joshua, Scott, Ryan, Nicholas, Luke, Jillian, special great grand-daughters Ava Rose and Sophia Elizabeth, sister Phyllis( Graham) Peddle, brother Bill (Eleanor), sisters-in-law Nina and Barbara, sister in law Gloria Fagan, brother in law Hubert Rideout (Kathy), Sister in law Christine Cronin and a special family to whom she was “Nan”, Vera, Krista and daughter Chelsea, Kirk (Ashley) and a large circle of family and friends. Florence's family would like to thank the staff of St. Clare's 7 West for their compassion and care during this difficult time. A special thank you to Dr. Aguilar, Michelle Aguilar and Dr. Krisdaphongs for their continuing care. At Florence's request, cremation has taken place and the family will have a celebration of her life at the family home 26 Albany Place Foxtrap on Sunday July 1, 2018 2pm - 6pm. A service will be held at James J. Hickey Funeral Memorial Home Chapel Kelligrews on Monday July 2, 2018 at 1 PM with interment to follow at All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road Foxtrap. Fellowship at All Saint’s Parish Hall after interment.
