Geraldine Dickinson

Geraldine (Gerri) Dickinson – Passed peacefully on November 6, 2018 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her husband Harold, siblings Elizabeth, Brian and Ron Stapleton, and son in law Andy. Lovingly remembered with pride by daughter Karen; son Geoff (Lori), cherished grandchildren Jessica , Jacob, Zachary and Meagan; siblings Len (Jeanette), Basil (Wendy), Joan (Ed), Paul (Sue), sisters in law Janet and Babs and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. The valedictorian of the class of 1947, Canada 125 medal recipient for her volunteer work, a woman of strong faith and compassion, she was passionate about the quality of people’s lives. Gerri was a regular caller on VOCM talk shows most recently with host Jonathan Richler; sharing information and debating politics. She advocated for the value of seniors in the community. We are inspired by her strength to carry on. Special thanks to Tobin’s Personal care Home. Visitation at Hickeys Funeral Home in Holyrood on Nov 8 from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian burial will take place from Holy Cross Church Holyrood on Friday Nov 9, 2018 at 10:30am. Interment in Holy Cross cemetery, Holyrood.
