Smith, Helen Christine (Gleeson) It is with deep sadness, the family announce the passing of a dear mother, Helen Christine Smith (Gleeson) of Manuel’s on September 4, 2019 in her 86 year. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Nora Gleeson, husband Herbert, daughter & son-in-law Dianne & Joseph Kieley. Leaving to mourn her loving & devoted children David (Catherine) of Nova Scotia, Ruth Corbett (Frank) of Wabush, Catherine Smith of Mt. Pearl, Violet Brophy (Doug) of Holyrood, 14 grandchildren Allison, Mark, Christopher, Tracy, Adam, Melanie, Matthew, Stephanie, Jessica, Elizabeth, Clay, Katie, Kurtis and Mitchell; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters/brothers-in-law Jeanette Gleeson, John Nickerson, Ellaline Smith, Violet Smith (Harry), nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Thursday from 7 pm – 9 pm, Friday from 2 pm – 4 pm & 7 pm – 9 pm. Funeral service will take place from All Saints Anglican Church, Foxtrap on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 11 am. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road, Foxtrap.
