Tobin, James Patrick July 4, 1926 – November 3, 2018 Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Hospital on November 3, 2018, age 92 years of Manuel’s, CBS. Jim was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Predeceased by his parents Arnold and Nellie Tobin of Manuel’s, CBS, his first wife Loretta (Furey), Dec 4, 1964 of Holyrood, brother Arnold and sisters Pauline, Marie and Genevieve. Leaving to mourn his wife Carmel of 42 yrs. Four sons Donald (Madeline), Raymond (Tom) (Martha), Daniel (Wanda) and Gerard, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn his sister Angela Kelly (Jerry), sister-in-law Ethel Tobin, brother-in-law Jim Doerr, sister-in-law Loretta Tee (John) and many nieces, nephews as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. At Jim’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Monday, November 5 from 2 pm – 4 pm and 7 pm- 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10 am from St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Manuel’s, CBS. Interment in St. Thomas of Villanova Cemetery, Topsail. No flowers by request. Donations in Jim’s may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of one’s choice.
