Marcia Anne Lewis

Lewis Marcia Anne ( nee Hickey ) With faith and hope to eternal peace we announce the passing of a dear mother, grandmother on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Marcia was a strong and independent woman who devoted her life to attending to the special needs of bereaved families as a Funeral Service Professional, which empowered her with fulfillment and contentment . A chapter has been completed, a page turned, and Marcia is now at rest with her husband Richard , infant daughter: Michelle, parents: James and Josephine, mother and father in law: Richard and Helen, sisters in law : Rosalene and Viola and brother James . Leaving to celebrate her life with many special memories are her daughter and best friend, Carol Anne ( Derrick Toope) and grandchildren Jonathan and Jessica whom Nan adored and cherished. Marcia is survived by brothers in law: Dan Lewis ( Kelligrews) , Jerry Lewis ,St. John's , sisters in law : Marg Finn ( Edward), Port aux Basques, Barbara Barnes ( Nelson Sherren ) ,St . John's , Mary Lou Whelan ( Matthew) , St. John's, and cousins Evelyn Devereaux and Mona Dooley. Near and dear to Marcia were special friends Ceceilia Murray , Joan Crawley ,and Cyril Walsh, a professional colleague, confidant and friend who worked with Marcia for over thirty years. Family and friends will be received in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Tuesday, February 20 and Wednesday, February 21 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward’s Church, Kelligrews on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 10 am. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Southside, Holyrood. .Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
