I am so sorry to see the passing of Ruth Parsons. Ruth was a kind and gentle soul. It was also a pleasure speaking with her on the phone and exchanging Christmas cards. She was excited about living in her new home despite the adjustment. When we last spoke we talked about the people that crossed our paths and had fond memories of years gone by. We exchange stories about our beloved 4 legged babies. This year when I did not receive a Christmas card I new something was wrong with my friend. When I called her for her birthday yesterday and sent her an email there no longer was service. Ruth was loved by many and her light will keep shinning in our hearts.

I'm crushed to find out my dear friend who was like a Mother to me has passed away and I never said good bye. Ruth and I spent many years working together at Canon and became very very close. We kept in touch when she moved from Oshawa to Newfoundland.
I am deeply saddened that I cannot talk on the phone or exchange cards with you Ruth. You have always had a special place in my heart and I love you dearly.
I was waiting to hear from Ruth after she moved to her new place last February which she was looking forward to with such excitement. Although I knew something was wrong when I hadn't seen any emails or received a phone call with her new address I didn't expect this to be the case.
I love you Ruth and you will be with me always. I will cherish the time we had together and hold you close at heart always!
Deeply saddened and heartbroken,

May of this year Aunt Ruth had her sisters (Aunt Gladys) daughter Maureen and husband Rob (from USA) stay with her. Aunt Ruth let me know that my first cousin Maureen whom I never met was coming to Newfoundland. We arranged a get together of the Parsons family at my house and Maureen got to meet several cousins, Aunts and Uncle Tim. Many stories were told, food shared, pictures taken and wonderful memories made.
I was always interested in the Parsons family tree and Aunt Ruth was always there to share her knowledge and wonderful pictures of our family. Thank you Aunt Ruth for bringing us Parsons family together and for so many of us to meet our first cousin Maureen. The connection has been made to create a lifetime of memories for our family tree.
Here’s a poem I found for you Aunt Ruth: “A limb has fallen from the family tree that says grieve not for me. Remember the Best times, the laughter , the song, the good life I lived while I was strong.”
Rest in peace and give dad and my aunts and uncles a hug from me.
Love Janice (Parsons) Locke, Jim, Jonathon and Jimmy & family
