Coffin, Owen We share with friends, the sudden passing of Owen Coffin on July 24th, 2015 at the age of 80. Owen was a special husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and Priest. Owen graduated from Memorial University, Queen’s Theological College and was ordained an Anglican Priest in 1958. He served the parishes of Stephenville, Bonne Bay, Burin, Port aux Basques, Foxtrap and retired as Diocesan Archdeacon after 45 years of ministry.Leaving with precious memories wife Louise (nee Downton); children Peter (Colleen), David (Jeannie), Sandra (Robin); grandchildren Jason (Brittany), Michelle (Brandon), Michael (Erika), Alex, Matthew, Julia, Ally; great-grandchildren Asher, Gabriel; brothers Ross (Joan), Wendell (Geraldine); sister-in-law Bernice (Bill); and special family friend Lois. Also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Tuesday from 10 – 12, 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, Wednesday from 10 - 12 noon. A celebration of a life lived to the fullest will take place at All Saints Anglican Church, Foxtrap, Conception Bay South on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road, Foxtrap. Please, no flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund, or a charity of one’s choice.
