Porter, Rachel (Fagan) September 29, 1930 – August 12, 2018 Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at St. Clare’s Hospital on August 12, 2018. Predeceased by her husband William (1984), son Derick (1977), daughter Sharon (1962) and daughter-in-law Carol Ann (2012). Leaving to mourn with loving memories sons Edgar (Grace), Gary, Gerald (Sandra), Jeff, daughters Rosalind (Rick), Ruby (John), seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn brother Vic (Pat), sisters Ruby and Jeanette, sister-in-law Hilda Fagan and a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Tuesday & Wednesday from 2 pm – 4 pm & 7 pm – 9 pm. Funeral service will take place from St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Manuel’s on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10 am. Interment in St. Thomas of Villanova Cemetery, Topsail. Donations in Rachel’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
