Dalton (nee Kieley) Rita July 31, 1939 – July 3, 2016 Passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family at Scarborough Centenary Hospital on July 3 after a brief illness. Predeceased by her husband George Dalton; parents Mike and Margaret Kieley; brother Raymond and brother-in-law Ned. Leaving to mourn her children: David Dalton (Karen), Markham, ON, Denise Pickett (Andrew), New Jersey, USA, and Pamela Oberer (Dave), Scarborough, ON, with whom Rita resided; her grandchildren who were the light of her life: Luke and Jake Dalton, Carly, Josh and Jack Pickett, Georgia, Alec and Emily Oberer; sisters Patricia Kean (Anthony), Mt. Pearl, NL, Bernadette Robinson (Kevin), Caledon East, ON, Mona Lee (Dave), St. John’s, NL; brothers John (Theresa), Loch Broom, NS, Robert (Angela), Holyrood, NL, and Michael (Andrea), Guelph, ON; sisters-in-law Pat Normore, Betty Butler and Patricia Kieley; and many other relatives in the extended Dalton and Kieley families. Visitation to take place at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Rd., Pickering, ON on Tuesday, July 5 from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM and at Hickey’s Funeral Home, Holyrood, NL, on Friday, July 8, from 1-9 PM. Funeral Mass to take place at Holy Cross Church, Holyrood, on Saturday, July 9, 10 AM. Inurnment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
