Thistle, Robert (Bob) Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, June 22, 2015, of Holyrood, formerly of C.B.S. age 71 yrs. Predeceased by his son Nicky and parents Violet and Harold Thistle. Leaving to celebrate his life with many special memories his devoted and loving wife Lucy (Coates), his pride and joy foster daughter, Judy Hillier, son Charles Renouf (Brenda Boyd - very special friend, helper and giver of care to us all), foster sons George Griffin, Edward Brown and Arnie Riche, brother Douglas Thistle (Elaine), Yarmouth, NS, sisters Gail Thistle (Rick), Halifax, NS, Sylvia Upshall (Rick), Seal Cove, Phyllis Pope, Tors Cove, Daphne Manning (Gerard), Labrador City, brother-in-law David Coates (Renee), godchild Peter Coates (Melissa). Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially his buddy, Billy Farrell, Holyrood, and friends Brian Tobin, Carol Ann Slaney and his precious girl Gail Collins. At Robert’s request, cremation has taken place with no visitation. Funeral service to take place on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 2 pm from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upper Gullies.
