Metcalfe, Robert C. ( Jan. 1940- April 2008) It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of a precious husband, devoted brother, uncle and brother in law and faithful friend, of Long Pond, age 68 yrs.. Predeceased by his mother and father, Emma and John Metcalfe, and his brothers Raymond and Eric. Left with a lifetime of treasured memories are his loving memories are his wife and best friend, Susie, his special sister Ann Clarke( husband Albert and family), his brother John (wife Mary and family), Peter (Debbie, deceased and family) and the families of his deceased brothers Raymond and Eric. Also, missing uncle Bob are a number of devoted nieces, and nephews. Also, left to mourn are his brother in law and good friend, Vic Porter ( wife Peggy), his brother in law Sam Porter (wife Edwina) and sister in law Doris Metcalfe and Jean Porter. Bob also, leaves to mourn numerous co-workers and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villa Nova Church, Manuels on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 10 am. Internment in the Anglican Cemetery, Church Road, Foxtrap. Flowers gratefully accepted.
