Sidney Kevin Cox

Cox, Sidney Kevin, February 16, 1965- August 9, 2019. Passed peacefully away after a year long battle with cancer in the presence of his loving family on Friday, August 9, 2019; age 54 yrs. Sid is predeceased by his father Sidney Charles Cox (1994). Left with precious memories are his high school sweetheart and wife of 31 years Jessie (Barnes) his cherished children Jeremy and Megan (Mac), his canine best buddy Roscoe, loving mother Ruby, brother Tony (Maria), niece Ashley(Jeremy) father and mother in law Ted and Violet Barnes, brother in laws; Ted (Debbie) nephew Kyle; Harold (Judy) nephews Jason and Adam, sister in laws; Laura Butler (Terry) nephew Michael, great nephew Joe, Pat Marsh (Jim) nephew Andrew , Brenda Pitman (Wayne) Nephew Ryan (Kayla) great nephew Kendrick and niece Kimberlee, Also morning his loss are his special friends; Barbara Dray, Karen and John Rose, Bill and Bonnie O’Leary, Tammy and Jerry Fagan , Richard and Lisa Smith, and a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to St. Clare’s anesthesia, operating and recovery room staff, Eastern Health and Breathe Well respiratory therapists, Public Health Nurse Sandra, the Pallilative Care Nurses, Dr. Thavanathan, Dr. Fleming, Dr. Armstrong and Dr. Zararosnie, Cremation has taken place . Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Saturday from 7 pm – 9 pm, Sunday from 2 pm – 9 pm. Funeral service will take place from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Topsail on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 10 am. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Topsail. Flowers accepted or donations in Sid’s memory, may be made to St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
