BAILEY Robert A. June 21, 1938 – May 29, 2017 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert Arthur Bailey (78 years) announce his peaceful passing at his residence on Monday evening, May 29, 2017. Bob was surrounded by his friends and family; He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Leaving to mourn his wife Beatrice, children: Glenda Lidstone, (Brian); Gregory Bailey (Patricia); grandchildren: Adam Lidstone, Bethany Lidstone, Kiersten Bailey, Alisha Bailey. His brothers, Gerald Bailey (Mary); Malcolm Bailey (Betty); Ann Borden (Bernard); Alice Kennedy (Joseph); Betty Pennell (Albert); sisters-in-law Joanne and Linda and a large circle of precious nieces and nephews. Close to his heart as well were special sister in law and brother in law, Shirley and Bob Perry, their son Rob and his family, special friends Ford and Shirley Lidstone, George and Meta Troake, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends who dearly loved him. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Annie Bailey, brothers George and Bill. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation will take place. Family and friends may visit at Stacey’s Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will take place at The Salvation Army Citadel, Gander on Thursday June 1st, 2017 at 2 p.m. officiated by Captains Sheldon & Ashley Bungay with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Robert’s memory can be made to the Parkinson’s Society.
