Passed peacefully away at home in the presence of his family on Monday, October 14, 2019, Lester Roland Matchim of Paradise, age 71 years. Predeceased by his parents: Nelson and Ida Matchim. Leaving to mourn, his wife of 42 years: Shirley Matchim, Paradise; daughter: Laura Matchim, Paradise; two sons: John and Mark Matchim of Paradise; brother: Clar Matchim, Spain; four sisters: Eileen (Dimitri) Ypsilanti, Halifax, NS, Nora (Jack) Greene, Outer Cove, Pearl (Randy) Larcombe, Traytown, Glenda (Randy) Doyle, Sarnia, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Family would also like to say thank you to Dr. Alan Goodridge, Denise Murphy, RN, and Dr. Chaulk for all their care and kindness. Resting at Oram’s Funeral Home, Church Street, Eastport on Wednesday, October 16, 2:00 to 4:00 pm., and 7:00 to 9:00 pm., Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 pm., and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral service to take place on Friday, October 18 at 2:00 pm from Holy Cross Anglican Church, Eastport. Interment in the Holy Cross Anglican Cemetery, Eastport.
