ELMA MAISIE ELIZABETH BAKER 1939 - 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elma Maisie Elizabeth Baker announce her passing at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre in Buchans, NL on January 23, 2020 at the age of 80. Elma was an active member of the Salvation Army. She is predeceased by her parents, Newman and Edna Caines, and brothers, Alvin and Alec. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her loving husband of 60 years, Edmund Baker, son, Tracy (Denise) of Buchans, NL, and daughters, Tia (Matthew Jesso) of Port Elgin, ON, and Tara (Allan Wardlaw) of Port Elgin, ON. Also leaving to mourn are her sisters, Doreen (Jack), Joan, Myra (Melv), Louise (Albert), Marilla, Gloria, Cindy (Ryerson), Bonnie (Derm), Denise (Dave), brothers, Mac (Mary) and Brian (Kathleen), grandchildren, Brian (Olivia), Amanda (Kody), Caitlin, Wendy, Amber (Jay), Jacob, and Emily (Jon), and great-grandchildren, Abigail, Max, Mylah, Emma, Luna, and Scarlet. Major Betty-Lou Topping will conduct the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in Buchans, NL on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Buchans Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Recreation Department of the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
