MURIEL ISABELLE CALLAHAN 1938 - 2019 It is with profound sadness and sorrow that the family of the late Muriel Isabelle Callahan announce her passing at her home, in the arms of her loving family, in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, on July 7, 2019, at the age of 81. Muriel is predeceased by her parents, Pierce and Gertrude Lush. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband of 60 years, Arch Callahan, son, Paul Callahan of Crooked Lake, AB, and daughter, Susan (Rodney Peckford) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Also leaving to mourn are her grandchildren, Kerri-Lynn Peckford, Shaina Peckford, and Reanna Poitras, and brothers, Bill (Mary) Lush, Harry (Celine) Lush, and Reginald (Valerie) Lush. Muriel was a woman of faith, a devoted wife, an extraordinary mom, and above all, a wonderful nan whose life was her grandchildren. She will also be missed by a large number of extended family and friends. As per Muriel’s wishes, cremation has taken place. No funeral service or visitation will be held. Donations can be made in her memory to the Exploits Valley SPCA. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes. “We little knew that morning, That God would call your name. In life we loved you dearly; In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide And though we cannot see you, You are always by our side. Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same But as God calls us one by one The chain will link again.”
