It is with great sadness that the family of the late John William Roberts announces his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. on Sunday, December 29th, age 84 years, formerly of Hermitage. John leaves to mourn his loving family: sons, John (Christine) at Hermitage, Otto (Darlene) at Moncton, NB, Bill (Greta) at C.B.S. and Wesley (Delores) at Grand Falls-Windsor; daughters, Marie (Phil), Violet (Brian), Betty (Chesley) all at Hermitage, and Theresa at St. John’s; eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brothers, George (Doris), Wilfred (Martha), Bill (Debbie) and Roy (Janet); as well as a circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth; sister, Betty; parents, Otto and Violet Roberts. Visitation took place at St. Saviour’s Haven, Hermitage on Tuesday, December 31st, 2020 for Family only. Public visitation took place on Wednesday, January 1st, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Funeral Service was held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 2:00 pm from St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at Hermitage with Rev. Robynn Toal officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Hermitage-Sandyville.
